A sole system for many lighting solutions

A hovering, supple, flimsy ribbon of light. An infinity of possible lighting design solutions built into a basic, yet highly characterized design.

A dream brought to life by a light that satisfies every design requirement: this is SHERAZADE, the system that uses modules with a three dimensional development to create various configurations with maximum freedom of composition.

The various modules, flat, wave shaped or curved, with various heights, can be combined with all the sources used for indoor lighting (halogen, discharge, linear/circular fluorescent and LED lamps) and mounted with a vast range of optics, including geometrically differentiated sources realized in high specular aluminium with reflective treatment obtained through polished anodising, specially designed to optimize the efficiency of the discharge source and obtain clean, precise high efficiency light beams.

The versatility of the system is enhanced by the possibility of integrating, inside the supple “ribbon”, vertically and horizontally adjustable professional projectors managed by an extremely innovative patented Targetti gyroscopic system.

Created by a team of four designers (architects Gigli and Materassi, alongside Paolo Targetti and Lorenzo Querci), SHERAZADE is entirely realized in recyclable polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), which is characterized by exceptional brilliance in both the white as well as the black glossy finish versions.

The various basic modules in the system can be assembled with easy electrical and mechanical connections or used as single elements by simply adding a suspension and power supply kit: the latest features for 2008 include the new “stand alone” glossy white or glossy black suspensions, with a clean and elegant design, fitted with anti-glare louvre or flush diffuser screen.

Despite the image of total levity offered by the minimal thickness (60 mm), the new SHERAZADE suspensions present a vast selection of optical solutions for controlled or diffused light effects. Moreover the indirect light component guarantees high comfort light effects to pleasantly illuminate every ambient.

The other important innovation is the new wall module, fitted with precision optics for metal halide lamps which, thanks to the possibility of adjusting the individual optics, as well as the module itself, is ideal for accent lighting in shop windows and display areas.
